Uncommon pets call for thoughtful care.

While traditional veterinary medicine covers many basics, exotic animals bring their own set of considerations, from habitat needs to specialized health concerns.

Dr. Gottlieb, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Gottlieb is thrilled to be joining the team at LSAH this year! A native of NJ, Dr. Gottlieb’s passion for animals started at a young age, watching every episode of the Crocodile Hunter and the Jeff Corwin on a weekly basis. Because of these shows, he took an early interest in exotics species as well, which carries on to this day! Dr Gottlieb graduated from University of Miami with a double major in Marine Biology (he’s kind of a fish nerd) and Chemistry, and a minor in Classics. He completed his veterinary degree at the Ohio State University, and has been in practice serving pets and owners in the state of New Jersey since 2015!

Dr. Gottlieb currently resides in Bayville, with his wife, Kim, his dog Venus, and two cats- Oliver and Athena. His reptile room consists of a Blue-tongued skink named Herschel, and a yellow ackie monitor named “The Flash.” Dr. Gottlieb looks forward to meeting all of your furry, feathered, and scaled creatures in the new year, as he joins our team here at LSAH!
