The Runners Up

Here are some honorable mentions from the contest: a male standard poodle who ate a 10,000$ diamond ring, A 15 month old lab who ate his owners toenail clippers, and a year old cat who ate the mailbox key. All are doing well. Next time something goes missing it may give you more to think about.

In a recent Veterinary Practice News the first prize for most interesting object a pet had eaten went to a 2 year old Norwegian Forest cat that had been vomiting for 36 hours. Luigi had surgery and a 5 inch long antenna was removed. He recovered uneventfully. See to much TV can be bad for your health.

Middletown Puppy Mill

On July 23rd the Monmouth County SPCA rescued 80 dogs from a alleged puppy mill run out of aa womens house. Among the dogs were dachsunds, chihuahuas, basset hounds, and a blue nosed pit bull terrier. Hopefully these dogs will find good homes.

there is a new airlines just for pets. Pets fly in main cagin not cargo hold. A flight attendant checks on pets reguarly. Their web site is www.petairways.com.  I saw this on the news the other night and think this is a great idea. Competition for the airlines.

Hounds Tooth A Success

Thanks to everyone for making hounds tooth a success. We hope everyone was as pleased as we were. In total 91 pets had their teeth cleaned. I know many owners were amazed that their pets were so good for the cleanings. If anyone else is interested they will be coming back in several months. We will keep you posted.
